ABOUT US

In March 2007, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes women musicians, Women in Jazz South Florida, Inc. came into existence at the insistence of a young women, the daughter of my dear friend Oshunrire Naomi James. Diamond stepped up to the plate and organized a gathering at her apartment to encourage the members of our sisterhood to support my vision for an outlet for women musicians. Seventeen years later, we are planning the first Musicwoman Festival in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 17-19, 2024. Get tickets at musicwoman.art and publishing the 6th edition of musicwoman magazine and the 5th edition of musicman magazine and our trademark for Musicwoman was published on April 23, 2024.
